UC President's  Fellow/K99 Awardee

Dr. Dequina Nicholas was awarded a UC President's Postdoctoral Fellowship for her work in immunology, inflammation, and reproduction.  This prestigious two-year fellowship research and supports career development activities to promote scholars pursuing academic careers across all disciplines.  Dr. Nicholas was one of  25 awardees selected from over 850 applicants across all disciplines.  Subsequently she was awarded a K99/R00 from NIH in support of her career transition to an independent researcher.
